Class of 1955

John Killam sent us this class picture of the class of 1955. Can you believe that this class graduated from MHS 55 years ago? We wish there were names on this one but there is hope one of those 55ers will send in some names for us.

Class of 1947

Thought this might be of interest to many of you. Taken (circa 1942) when the Class of 47 were in the 7th grade. Particularly the guy in front with the Life magazine stuck to him.

The Class of 1960 celebrates 50!

This is a great photo of the class of 1960 at their 20th Class Reunion! They are again celebrating another milestone this summer with their 50th year reunion. It is going to be held on July 2, at the home of Sherrie (Gillins) Thomposn, with a large number of the class planning on attending. They will be able to enjoy  Milford City’s July 4th celebration on Saturday, July 3rd, beginning with a parade at 10:00 A.M., followed by festivities at the City Park, a free swim at 1:00 P.M., Milford’s Got Talent at the Elementary School at 2:00 P.M., Home Run Derby at 4:00 P.M., fireworks at dark, and a dance following the fireworks. (Is there any place as fun as Milford on the 4th?)

The committee, Sherrie Gillins Thompson, Dean Thomas, Bryan Sherwood and Bob Allen have put together a great agenda for the reunion ending with a farewell breakfast at the home of Dean and Karen Thomas on Sunday July 4th. We will post another picture again after the reunion to prove that the class hasn’t aged a bit in the last 30 years!!

P.S. Yes, that is Milford’s Mayor Sherwood in the back with the ‘fro!

Class of 1949

This class of 1949 is an especially good-looking class, the boys in ties and the girls in skirts and they are all wearing their class sweaters. The best part is that the names are included! We would love to post more class pictures, old or new. Look through your old photographs and send them to us.

First grade faces are always cute! There are only two unkowns, how about it classmates can you fill in the blanks for us?

Class of 62 in 82

Wow, Look at the Class of 1962 at their 20th Reunion. Linda Weston sent this in, she was wondering when the old Swimming pool was torn down?  As we look at this picture we love the 80′s style and we can pick out most of them but there are a few that we don’t know who they are. If you are in this picture please let us know and name them all for us please! Keep sending in those pictures to us, Richard, or Arden so we can keep the blog going, we have had such great response from all of you, you  may not be commenting, but we know by the numbers that you are looking.

Reunion Pictures

Class of 1949We have added the pictures from Saturday evening, some the classes posed for class pictures and some did not, and many were there and did not hear the call for their class. If any of you would like to email us some of your favorite reunion pictures we will add them to ours. This group is a combination of Kita Hunt, Dennis Slinkerd and Luceil Hardy’s pictures that they were kind enough to share with us. We have added on to flickr the pictures that the Severson’s, the Milford Hotel owners, took and sent to Ken and Cheryl Elmer.

You can see it was a beautiful evening with a great dinner served by the Milford Lion’s Club. There were 300 dinners served and lots of laughter, memories, and hugs. The class of 1941 were the last ones on the dance floor when the evening ended.

Class of 1932

Attention Class of ’59

Just want to throw around a few suggestions for our big 50th anniversary.  Anyone with an idea for something that might set us apart from the rest of the Reunion Group (not that we aren’t already), please comment.

 We talked to Gina Mayer about doing some shirts for us (she is the gal that does all of the shirts for the Milford Tigers and Cody Wright and the  4th of July shirts for the UP club, etc.).  She thought we could come up with some neat ideas for either T-shirts or Golf shirts.  The price of the shirts, of course, would depend on how many we ordered – the more shirts, the cheaper the price.  The T-shirts would probably be in the $l0 to $15 dollar price range and the golf shirts would be more like $25 to $35.  It isn’t necessary that everyone order a shirt.  It is your choice.  Please let us know if you are interested in shirts, or if you have a better idea, don’t hesitate contacting me or Kaye Baxter (or comment on the blog.) Can’t wait to see all of you.  Hope we have a good turn out from the great  CLASS OF 1959.

Mr Fisher’s Fifth grade class

It was always so much fun to get a Christmas Card from Mr. Fisher, one of the most beloved teachers at Milford Elementary; remember his famous paddle? Two members of this class claim to have gotten the most paddles in one year, can you guess who the  infamous  duo are? If you guessed the guy in the cowboy shirt on the front row and his buddy next to him in a white shirt, you’d be right. Does anyone want to contest that claim?
