Summer Camp 1956

I am not sure who– but we 4-H girls used to go to Kent’s lake to camp. We would put up tents, cook on those stoves, saw logs, make craft stuff and build a big fire in the evening where someone would tell “bear” stories. We started 4-H around age 10 and I would have been around 13 in 1956. I don’t think I was there in 56–I left Milford in Spring of 56 to move to Denver. However, I remember camping at Kent’s lake during the previous summers of 54 and 55. Perhaps some of the 4-H girls will remember camping like this.

I believe his was 4-H camp at Kent’s Lake. The photo (on the left) includes Sharon Nichols, Joyce Gronning? and me–Jean Norton. I’m only certain about Sharon. I can’t accurately identify girls in the second photo.
