Milford Swimming Pool

Barry (Hawkeye) Bird brought it to our attention , that the photos we posted earlier (Sept.) of the swimming pool in 1953 were reversed, the deep end was shown as being at the north end of the pool. We are adding the pictures as Barry transposed them. This pool replaced an earlier one on the same site in the late 40′s. The earlier one had wooden planks as a border (some of you may recall slivers in your feet), there were also cabanas rather than common dressing areas. This info was verified with help from Pat
Turner Davis. There is a chance that Perry Lee Neal MHS coach was the first manager.
