TV BBQ?

Another set of photos from Brad and Linda Weston. Notes from them indicate that this was a TV Barbeque event, possibly for the installation of Television reception equipment in the Mineral Mountains. Must have been quite an event as it looks as if they were catered to by Union Pacific cooks. Can anyone help with some details of the outing? Q: When did TV come to Milford? Volunteer Firemen?

Another great photo from Brad & Linda (Johnson) Weston…. While awaiting correction comments, I’ll guess it is a group of early volunteer firemen standing at the
rear of the Opera House. If so, they are looking north across 3rd south between
1st west and Main St.
Only wish we had a clue what the buildings in the background are.

Growing up in Milford, the parades were a highlight of the summer, Milford always have great parades! Here’s one for the Class of ’51 who is on this float and what is the occasion? Note the old Methodist Church in the background.

Brad Weston’s first day of Kindergarten! This is another wonderful picture of the Elementary School and the kids walking up the hill to school. The year is 1949, if this is the East side (?) where was the slide? The picture below is Brad with his Grandfather John H. Weston.
